A quick walk on ride on Mantis and then I headed over to TTD. TTD has run absolutely horribly my last two trips, but it did not miss a beat today. It ran perfectly and I had my Front seat ride in an hour and ten minutes.
Next was magnum. Just about walk on with one or two train waits. Ride op Matt was really stapling people in. Eight great rides though in 1-3 and 6-3.
Next was a lap on Gemini. Only the blue train was running and the line was getting kinda long so I only took the one lap.
A ride on turbo drop revealed that the line for TTD was short, real short so I jumped back in line and got two more launches. One in the very last seat. It was my first ride in the very back and I must say that it is good, especially going through the barrel roll going down. I kept waiting for it to break and it never did.
Time to hit the front of the park. Raptor was just about walk on. Two train operation. The longest the line got was half way down the steps going into the station. Ten laps on my favorite bird of pray mostly in the back seat. WOW!
Over to WT. Two laps in the back seat and one up front. This is a great ride. Two spins on Chaos and then back over to BS for four walk on rides.
I got some Pizza and walked back to PT for a ride on the Power Shot side and then over to TTD for another launch. The line was about 20 min. long and again ran flawlessly.
I quickly walked over to MF. About a half hour wait for the back seat and jumped back in line for one last ride at about 7:55. Now this is where it happens, it never fails, someone does something or something breaks that tarnishes the day. I’m about at the freeway merge point and these three guys at the back of the line run back over to the vending machines. Instead of purchasing something though, the hop the fence, go behind the machines and piss all over them. Those of us that witnessed it could not believe it. When I got up near the unloading platform I flagged over a ride op and explained what had happened to her and she called the police over and the three guys got booted from the line. Hopefully they were cited also, I don’t know. I normally don't stick my nose in, but I had to this time. This kinda worked to my advantage though. I went back to the end of the line to ID the guys and then just stayed at the end and got the last train of the night. I also met a few enthusiasts, Tony and Gary. We talked as we walked back to our cars.
All in all it was a great day. First and last trains of the day on MF. Four laps on TTD. If it wasn't for those pigs in line for MF, it would have been perfect. A lot of the ride ops have gone back to school so there are some new faces in the stations and loading time is a bit slower, but they are still doing a good job. And TTD ran all day, I can't believe it. ;) Thats the most rides that I have ever taken in one day at CP. *** Edited 8/31/2004 5:01:27 PM UTC by CP ismyhome***

Maybe if I get lucky I can con the hubby to head out for Halloweekends. ;) If not I'll have to settle for fright fest at sfgam again. Hooray for being a half hour from Gurnee :D

Nice job.
The human race continues to shock, baffle, and disgust me.
