CP 7/19 I'll have to eat my words.

Associated parks:
None

I arrived at the park at about 8:45 and parked in the back. Mistake #1. There was a huge line of resort guests already and TTD was not testing. (I should have entered by the marina). I walked over to MF for a quick ride in the back seat. TTD was now running so I hit Mantis real quick (no line) and headed over to TTD.

The line was back past the photo booth. I made it up to the grandstands when the ride went down. After about 30 minutes, I gave up and hit the PT and went back to MF for a FW stamp. FW line was moving extremely sloooowwwww for some reason today.

TTD was back up and running now so I walked back over and got back in line, back past the photo booth again. This time, I made it almost to the entrance before it broke. About 25 min. and it was up again. Then it was down. Then up. I wanted a front seat ride and got in line for that and then it went down again for over 30 min. I finally did get my front seat ride, but combined with my first 40 minute wait, it cost me about 4 hours.

I have told people not to get too upset about TTD being down, well I got bit and I wasn't happy. I'll have to eat my words I guess. Never again. I could have got 10-15 laps in on Magnum in that time. If TTD isn't testing when I'm driving up the causeway, I'll enter by the marina and ride MF in the morning. If it is testing, I'll try to get a few laps in the morning. If I'm at the park with someone who really wants to ride, I'll give it a try, but on my solo runs, if its not running during morning ERT, I'm not waiting.

Other highlights were an ACE member and his son that I met on Magnum. Forgive me, but I can't remember names to save my life. He said that he knows Gregleg. His son is just getting tall enough to ride and already has 64 coasters under his belt. They have a full summer planned and he should have 100 by this fall.

While waiting for the next train for a front seat ride on MF, a lady got in line for the second seat. I asked if she wanted to ride in the front as I was a single rider and she did. Turns out that she was just married and she and her new husband were having their honeymoon at The Point. It was the first time either of them were ever at CP and her hubby wasn't sure he wanted to ride. She loved her first ride on MF and tried to convince her hubby to ride it with her again. I don't know if she did or not.

Everything, except for TTD, was running great. I was really surprised to see it running at all after last week. I thought it was down for the count as just about everyone had left the station later in the afternoon and the photo booth was locked up, but they got it running again later that night. CP really needs to light a fire under Intamin's A$$. I got night rides on Magnum, Raptor, BS and the second last train of the night in the back seat on MF.

As I walked back to my truck, they had the last train of the night loaded up on TTD. It rolled back. They launched again and it rolled back again. The third time was a charm. Why couldn't I have chose TTD for my last ride of the night. ;) Still waiting for my rollback. *** Edited 7/20/2004 4:14:55 PM UTC by CP ismyhome***
