CP 7/15-16 TTD me with a side of MF and PT

Associated parks:
None

It's been a while since I posted anything. In fact my account got deleted, oops. Anyways, my brother, cousin, and I made our 2nd trip to CP last week. Westayed at Camp Sandusky, a small, nicely priced, camp ground 10 minutes from the park. Only 40 bucks a night for a cabin with electricity can't beat that! Anyways, to the details:

Last years trip was more exciting at the beginning, because we had never been to CP before. This year I was really only interested in riding TTD, MF, and Power Tower. I also planned on giving Magnum one more chance to prove why it was ever rated higher than MF.

On Thur TTD was down all day, and workers could be seen doing repairs. So we decided to hit every coaster at least once. We rode everything but Jr. Gemini, Mine Ride, and D.T. And with the exception of Gemini, I'm still happier with my selection of coasters at SFGam. Magnum once again was just awful. I can picture myself loving that coaster the first years when it was new. But going through the pretzel turn around is just downright boring, and those bunny hills give airtime that I just don't like. Just my personal opinion, not trying to start a debate. So on Friday, we realized that all we wanted to do was ride MF, TTD, and Power Tower(UP).

So all we did Friday was ride MF, TTD and PT. I loved it, and those three rides are three good enough reasons for me to keep coming back to CP every summer. We got to ride TTD twice, which was really nice; considering we weren't sure if it would be open at all that week due to the accident. Also, MF was better than I remembered. We got a total of five rides on MF over the two days. Riding MF always makes me sad, because it reminds me of how I used to feel riding Raging Bull, before it was trimmed to Sh*t. The Bull is now just a little family ride, where the Force is just that, A FORCE.

Anyways, there’s my only and worst TR for this year. It feels good to be back posting on the old CB. *** Edited 7/20/2004 5:48:58 AM UTC by BackSeatBuller***

Those trims have always been on the Bull.

Please wait for the ride to come to a full and complete stop. Push down, then pull up on your lap bar. Thank and enjoy the rest of your day at CoasterBuzz.

Heyyyy, I was there wed, thurs, and friday... and rode TTD friday =)
Despite the fact that the trims have always been there I still don't see the purpose of having those trims. I doubt they need them for timing purposes, when I was at SFGAm they weren't pushing trains through THAT fast...if anything it would have been nice to have the trims after that drop instead of before it to kill the airtime...
I know, but it seems like those trims get heavier every year. I'm not sure if they ever turned those trims up or not, but it sure feels like it.
If memory serves me correct, B and M put the trims on because they miscalculated the speed of the train after the second drop over Viper. The train had too much speed going over the third hill and they thought the ride would destroy itself if it when over the hill with too much speed. Does anyone else remember this ?

Please wait for the ride to come to a full and complete stop. Push down, then pull up on your lap bar. Thank and enjoy the rest of your day at CoasterBuzz.
