CP 5/27 with Nasai and Peabody

Actually, I'm pretty tired now, so this is going to be rather short.

I left for CP at 6 am and arrived a little after 8 am and met Nasai and Peabody at the Magnum gate. They'd already heard the news about Dragster, but Nasai, although hopeful it would still open later in the day, was looking forward to the rest of the park. Rob and Kristin showed up a few minutes later, and we walked past Dragster to get our first ride of the day on Millennium Force. We all waited for the front row.

We rode Mantis, then headed to Wicked Twister so Nasai could get his first ever ride on it. He was a little geeked up for it. We hit Disaster Transport, Blue Streak and Cedar Downs before taking a break to play some DDR Extreme. For you DDR nuts, CP is charging a buck for 3 songs. I suck on the arcade metal pads. Give me my soft, cushy home ones.

We rode Corkscrew, got a Freeway for 1-2 on Magnum, got Nasai credit on Woodstock Express, then rode Cedar Creek Mine Ride before Rob and Kristin split off. They wanted to get a ride in on Maggie before they had to leave at 1 pm. Nasai, Peabody and I rode Mean Streak, then took a break for lunch before moving on to Gemini and taking our Freeway ride on Magnum (1-3 ejector seat--I swear I warned Rob his thighs would get banged).

We checked out Dragster's cable progress, and I snapped a couple pictures of Nasai/Peabody, and Nasai. We rode Iron Dragon and Wildcat, then hit the space shot side of Power Tower. I get very nervous on the drop side of PT, but the space shot side doesn't bother me at all. I had to chuckle at Nasai's obvious nervousness. We got some great air on PT.

We moved on to a flying, trimless Raptor in the front row. It was then Nasai realized we'd ridden 14 of CP's 16 coasters in a little over 6 hours. Couldn't get Nasai on any spin and pukes (because he says he pukes). When I left at 4:30, Nasai and Peabody were heading into Millennium Force's line for a second ride just as it was beginning to sprinkle. By the time I made my way back around to the Challenge Park lot, it was a steady light rain.

Had a great time, even if I'm dead on my feet right now, although not nearly as dead as Nasai will be when he gets to Cleveland tonight. His body was still on Seattle time, and he'd only gotten 4 hours of sleep last night. I'm hoping he makes it back to CP after SFWoA tomorrow if Dragster is running.

I can vouch for Nasai and Peabody on making SRM very interesting this year ;). I had a great time with Rob, Jeff, and the lovely CPLady. Hopefully they'll get that credit (and then some) on Dragster.
Geeez. Rob is tired now? His last stop is SFGAm on his coaster trip. He is going to need a wheelchair by that time. :)

Rob is sooo my kind of guy and I can't wait to finally meet him and Jeff tomarrow. Thanks for getting me Clean, Shaven... Great movie! I owe you! Nice report CP Lady and it's good to hear everyone was having a fun time minus the Dragster issues. All the reports of a trimless Raptor is making me more excited to go back to CP.

Rob? Mr. Zipper can't take the spinners all of a sudden? Hmmm.....

Glad to see that Dorkfest is under way with a bang.

This weekend should be fun.

He certainly wasn't interested in Troika, Chaos or Tilt-a-Whirl...but then, I think Peabody/Jeff had a headache and it's likely Rob passed to save Jeff. He'll just have to make up for it at HW.

My stomach is not very tolerent of spin-&-pukes either, but I can ride a Zipper without a problem.

-Mike, who's looking forward to meeting Rob & Jeff, and everyone else at SRM in 2 days!

Oooh....Robbio's scared of the big bad Troika!

The horror...

Most spinning rides aren't my particular brand of fun either chris....so I guess you get Knoebel's Super Round Up with mOOSH and bASS, maybe roXordawn too....but NOT me! The Gravitron at Myrtle Beach Pavilion was my last serious spinner for a while...;)

CPLady, thanks for the updates....even if I have to keep looking at pics of that Ethyldrummer guy...;)

bill, saying Robbio is almost always *geeked up*...:).....oh wait....not geeked up, just a geek....ROFL...

It's just a joke between Rob and I. I'm not one for the extreme spinners, and Rob teased me about it a bit at The Puyallup Fair. He did talk me into the zipper, though.

I'm just messin' with him.

Hey, you forgot to mention how great the trimless frontseat ride on Raptor that I took with you was.

I was waiting in line for Raptor, turned around and there was Rob in his Ethyl shirt with CPLady and Peabody. What luck, finding the people I had been looking for right behind me in line.

If you don't like the ride shut up and get out of line.

Dan, you were so QUIET in that line. I did mention the flying, trimless ride on Raptor, and yes, I remember you riding with us. You had to hook back up with your friends.

And honestly, I wish I hadn't mentioned the spin n pukes. Nasai will never speak to me again!

This is Nasai using Peabody's laptop. Really quick..... These past few days have been brutal brutal fun, but worth every second. Everyone has been a pleasure, and I won't even mention the fact that tomorrow is SRM. Oh yeah, I just did.... ;) I will write a hellacious TR when I get back home, and I promise I won't leave out anything....

BTW, Dragster is silly.
