I left for CP at 6 am and arrived a little after 8 am and met Nasai and Peabody at the Magnum gate. They'd already heard the news about Dragster, but Nasai, although hopeful it would still open later in the day, was looking forward to the rest of the park. Rob and Kristin showed up a few minutes later, and we walked past Dragster to get our first ride of the day on Millennium Force. We all waited for the front row.
We rode Mantis, then headed to Wicked Twister so Nasai could get his first ever ride on it. He was a little geeked up for it. We hit Disaster Transport, Blue Streak and Cedar Downs before taking a break to play some DDR Extreme. For you DDR nuts, CP is charging a buck for 3 songs. I suck on the arcade metal pads. Give me my soft, cushy home ones.
We rode Corkscrew, got a Freeway for 1-2 on Magnum, got Nasai credit on Woodstock Express, then rode Cedar Creek Mine Ride before Rob and Kristin split off. They wanted to get a ride in on Maggie before they had to leave at 1 pm. Nasai, Peabody and I rode Mean Streak, then took a break for lunch before moving on to Gemini and taking our Freeway ride on Magnum (1-3 ejector seat--I swear I warned Rob his thighs would get banged).
We checked out Dragster's cable progress, and I snapped a couple pictures of Nasai/Peabody, and Nasai. We rode Iron Dragon and Wildcat, then hit the space shot side of Power Tower. I get very nervous on the drop side of PT, but the space shot side doesn't bother me at all. I had to chuckle at Nasai's obvious nervousness. We got some great air on PT.
We moved on to a flying, trimless Raptor in the front row. It was then Nasai realized we'd ridden 14 of CP's 16 coasters in a little over 6 hours. Couldn't get Nasai on any spin and pukes (because he says he pukes). When I left at 4:30, Nasai and Peabody were heading into Millennium Force's line for a second ride just as it was beginning to sprinkle. By the time I made my way back around to the Challenge Park lot, it was a steady light rain.
Had a great time, even if I'm dead on my feet right now, although not nearly as dead as Nasai will be when he gets to Cleveland tonight. His body was still on Seattle time, and he'd only gotten 4 hours of sleep last night. I'm hoping he makes it back to CP after SFWoA tomorrow if Dragster is running.

Glad to see that Dorkfest is under way with a bang.
This weekend should be fun.
-Mike, who's looking forward to meeting Rob & Jeff, and everyone else at SRM in 2 days!

CPLady, thanks for the updates....even if I have to keep looking at pics of that Ethyldrummer guy...;)
bill, saying Robbio is almost always *geeked up*...:).....oh wait....not geeked up, just a geek....ROFL...
I'm just messin' with him.
I was waiting in line for Raptor, turned around and there was Rob in his Ethyl shirt with CPLady and Peabody. What luck, finding the people I had been looking for right behind me in line.

If you don't like the ride shut up and get out of line.
And honestly, I wish I hadn't mentioned the spin n pukes. Nasai will never speak to me again!
