CP 2003 line estimates

I was just wondering what everyone's line estimates are for the "Big 3" for the 2003 season. My estimates are that everything will be below 20 minutes except for TTD. I think TTD will have at most a 6 hour line and no less than 3 1/2 hour wait. MF will have a line that is the same length that Magnum's line was this season and Magnum will be a walk on. Also, everytime I went to CP in 2002, Magnum only had a line for the front row; did it ever have a line outside of the station? Thanks in adavance for the responses!

When I went in July, the lines for Magnum were kind of long. A few switchbacks were filled. And MF was about an hour wait. Blue Streak was walk on. Raptor was a 15 minute wait. Mantis had full queues (sp?). WT was about a 10 minute wait.

My guess for TTD will be about 3 hours.

Magnum? A walk on? I don't think so...

Magnum will most likely have much longer waits this season due to Dragster being right across from it. Ever since Millennium Force opened, Mantis has had much larger lines. I believe the same thing will happen with Magnum.

A six-hour wait? Are you out of your mind? Only, if they put in port-a-johns. The average person cannot wait six-hours without going to the bathroom, let alone on a ride of this nature where an underwear change might be in order.

I don't think TTD will be that long. It's lookin to have great capacity, and there's going to be a lot of people that won't want to ride it just yet. I honestly don't think that any lines will be that different. Maybe chop 10 minutes off each major coaster (Raptor, Mantis, MF, Maggie, WT) and add 30 minutes for a new ride, I'd put TTD at a 1 1/2 hour wait.

X Maniac, lines in Ohio will never be like SoCal, no one in their right mind here will wait 6 hours for a ride. Most people were turned off by the 3 hour wait for MF its first year, and I don't think TTD will be *that* popular.

The hype that Dragster is getting is much more then Millennium Force ever had.

There will be about 1,000 media outlets from all over the world attending Media Day in May. It will be popular...

But, when MF was going in, I heard a lot more "I can't wait to ride that!" than "that's insane!". TTD is getting a lot of "no f-in way!" from a lot of GPs.

MF had 4+ hour waits when it first opened in 2000. By the time we went in July of that year the waits were down. On three consecutive weekdays we never saw more than 1 1/2 hours.

Wicked Twister's line was always short.

Going back further (keep in mind we always visit on a weekday in Mid-July) Power Tower was around the 1 hour mark in 1998 and Mantis was the same in 1996.

I think you'll see stupid long lines initially but as the season goes on it'll level off. By mid/late summer I'd expect it to be in line with the park's other popular attractions. I doubt you'll see more than 2 hours on a weekday by then.

Always optimistic! :)

I heard that for MF, but when push comes to shove, people will ride. I took 40 high schoolers on a church trip to CP in 2000. Half said they wouldn't ride MF...too big and scary. After the 2 days were up, every single person had ridden it! A few kids had not ridden a real coaster before!

TTD will be just as popular as MF and get just as much attention, if not more. I don't see a 6 hour line happening, though! :)
