There are certain days when everything at the park goes perfectly and there is no need to place blame on DK or anyone else. Today was one of those days. I first off want to thank mother nature for holding off on the rain, I want to thank maintenance for not shutting down Magnum due to the problems with the trims and I want to thank everyone that planned to go to the park but stayed home!
As soon as the Resort Gate opened we went over to Magnum and Tyler and I got the first ride of the morning. He sat in 11 and I sat in 63, with about 4 other random people in the train. I got out and ran around again, and again, and again, and again. After my 15th ride I decided to marathon the ride for the rest of the day. I figured that I could beat my personal best of 52 and if I was lucky beat Randy's mark of 67. After my 33rd I stoped and got a drink and two jumbo cookies at Gulliver's Grill. After my 45th ride I stopped to use the bathroom and after my 52 ride I stopped and got another drink. Not counting those three stops I didn't stop at all. As soon as I got off the train I ran all the way back around to the entrance and got right back in line.
I will admitt that the last 14 or so laps were very difficuly physically. The temperature was falling slowly and my legs and arms were getting stiff, as I write this my legs are still in pain! This is why I want people to stop and think seriously about the Gemini 100 and make sure that they will be able to handle it. I want people to explain this to their friends, family, boyfriends and girlfriends they invited to come. Its not going to be easy and I can see people dropping like flies.
Anyway Magnum was running perfectly (even when the trims actually worked) They ran two trains all day long and it didn't matter becasue every time I walked into the station there were plenty of open rows. I knew it was going to be a special magnum day because after breakfast at Fridays I stopped in the gift shop at Breakers and got a brand new Magnum shirt and the new Magnum and MF bean bag bears!
Hopefully next monday will be just as dead!

70 rides on the Magnum in one day!?!?!? I'm surprised you are still alive. 5 rides straight would be enough for me to want xrays to make sure my back isn't broken, and I honestly don't think someone could pay me any amount of money to ride 70 times in such a short stretch. You have some kind of superhuman constitution and endurance. But hey, if I could take it I'd do it because that would be the day of a lifetime.

A marathon wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for
Cedar Fair's ASININE rule of making you exit
and walk ALL the way around...even when
there is NO LINE!

Was it really that dead? on opening day? That's upsetting!
I could have broken 100 no problem if they had the reride rule. Early in the morning they sent about seven or eight empty trains.
