Court orders Disney to hand over brain injury reports

Posted | Contributed by supermandl

A court has ordered Disney to provide all of its records concerning brain injuries to attorneys for a woman that is sueing the company over alleged injuries on the Indiana Jones ride.

Read the whole story from Reuters on Yahoo.

Why is it whenever someone gets hurt on a ride they act as though the park did something wrong. I mean, if the ride is that bad why did she go in the first place. And its not like they don't post signs about how rough the ride is every ten feet in the line to get on. Look we all know the story this woman is a slipper she went on the ride and loved it, someone else got hurt and made some money and now shes cashing in. I feel sorry for her injury if it is real, but it is time that we as coaster and amusement park patrons take a stand against this lottery lawsuit mentality and assume some personal responsability.
Amen, brother.

Hi Peoples!
My name is rc3268!
What's yours?
These people just want money and if they end up ruining roller coasters I might have to kill someone. Even if they did get hurt, it's because they haven't been checking up on their own health. I don't think that everyone that goes on a ride ends up dying or being extrememly injured!!!

"Riding roller coasters is safer than brushing your teeth."
The ride jerks you around a little, but not as much as most roller coasters.
There is over 8 people that have had brain injury's In the first report. Now with this coming up report there is supposed to be more. I love disney's excuse that they listed alot of brain injury's under neck injurys thats why they where not included in the first report. The whole story here is disney is trying to cover up brain injury's in there park's, not someone trying to make a quick buck there is more than one person with the same type of injurys.

why is it that im always hearing of people get hurt on the small disney rides most of the time?
OMG!!! If you've ever rode this ride, you know that you can prop your feet up and lift your waist off of the seat. Well, I did this in the back row and I still wasn't jostled that much. I don't know how people can get injured (even minorly) on this ride, unless they are doing something screwy!!! These people need to read the warning signs better. It specifically says that "...this ride is a rough, dark, 'high speed' ride...". Damn, I don't see how these people can get injred on a perfectly safe ride like this. They must've done something wrong and just not want to admit it---money hungry bastards! I think theme parks should install video cams all over the ride so that if the rider gets hurt and they're standing or doing something that they're aren't supposed to, they have the tapes to prove that it is the riders fault. Or, on the back of the tickets it should say "By purchasing this ticket, bearer assumes all risks and responsibility of injury and death". Nobody looks at the back of the ticket anyway. This way, parks couldn't get sued by injur-ies unless there was blatant disregard on the ride-op's part. I think this could really help out parks in the long run.

Life is like a coaster---
You go up, down, turn-around, and upside-down...and then there's all that pressure on your head, too...

this is bull, this is why i HATE people. they are so fixated on getting attention and money that they dont realize what they are doing to the industrys they CLAIM hurt em. these coasters go thru IMMENSE testing prior to opening and proved safe. these peoples' parents must have been smoking something while they were in the whom because NORMAL people get off the ride safely and unharmed. i just get really mad at people like this. UGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!
I think this person has a gripe here. Disney has not turned over all the records for injurys on ride, orange county register is reporting in the last 3 years on that ride there has been 313 people injured and 318 people on splash mountain thats alot of people hurt on 2 rides. Are you saying that all these people are not NORMAL, one is a reverand for crying out loud what does he have to lie about.
