County hopes to find operator for Playland as it opens the park this year

Playland Amusement Park opens Saturday for a season of fun while, behind the scenes, the county’s lawyers, planners and financial staff are diving into proposals to reinvent the historic park for the 21st century. Westchester County expects to be able to announce a general direction forward for the multiyear planning process by the end of the summer. Now, the county is doing its due diligence on the numbers and the feasibility of the proposals.
