Rumors are floating around the internet of Viper's removal after the spotting of many Survey flags around the shutlle loop coaster. These are they same flags that were spotted when planning for Deja Vu around a year ago. If something new is coming, then the shuttle loop will be disassembled later in this season. I sure hope they don't take down the Viper, as it is one of my favorite coasters...The rumor is that the new coaster will either be a Intamin Impulse, Intamin Hyper, or Vekoma Flying Dutchman..lof course..these are rumors so don't go getting your hopes up... :)

Sure Viper could be dissmantled and moved to another location or another park. I loved this coaster when it was located at my home park SFGAM as Tidal Wave. But I'll take Batman any day over it.

I read this at another site and someone there suggested to move it to the Gothem City section, re-paint it a Two Face coaster. I like that idea better than never seeing Viper again!! If that does not work, sell it to VisionLand!!

I don'tnow...I like the moving to Gotham City Idea best....I love the Viper..It is one of the few last great Shuttle Loop coasters...On another note..Do you think Deja Vu will have on-ride photos?

They might move Viper to another part of the park but they won't remove it from the park. They paid like $10 million for Viper because of Time Warner. I do like the moving to Gotham City idea. It could be call Two-Face, Poison Ivy, or Mr.Freeze!!!! But we are getiing something next year. A new coaster or 2. Maybe a new area with some new flat rides and a coaster or 2. Maybe they'll give Gotham City some new Flat Rides.
We shall see next year.

Hey here's and idea. Has anyone ever thought about this possibility for Viper. They could disassemble it and replace the Freefall with it, if there's enough space, therefore making room for a new coaster over by Scream Machine, getting rid of the old version Freefall, and still having the Viper. I don't want them to remove Viper from the park. And if they put it where Freefall is they will still have room in Gotham City to expand. Only time will tell what happens to this great coaster and what future coaster will be coming to the park for 2002.

Never heart about Dagger Fire. This coaster will go to this park and Viper will be removed and sold. One thing this is a rumor, every thing is possible.
I really would not miss the Viper if it were taken away from the park. Also do you realize how much room is back there. If the park were to remove the Viper they have all that grassland pushing back to the Now closed Six Flags Parkway. I wonder why the Parkway ever got closed anyway??

SFoG would not be an option for me were they not to have the Viper in addition to two other coasters(SFoG never stops amazing me with thier quality of operations), Viper out means I'd have very little reason to go, but that's all personal isn't it:). Move it over next to the Mindbender somewhere where it would look right at home, if you were to move it(I thought somebody killed that rumor last year, it's UGLY, me no want to think about it).
the Viper at SFoG is one of my favorite rides. I hope they dont get rid of it. It would be cool though if they moved it to the gotham city section.

But what's with all this freefall removal? I love the Free Fall, sure, it's NOTHING like Acrophobia, but that's what I like, Acro's too much. Maybe Viper next ton Free Fall? We might have an awesome view of the Mindbender:).......
Who said they HAD to remove Viper to build another coaster? The other coaster could go up, around or though (the loop) the coaster. It would be cool to do a bunny hop though Viper's loop!! :)

That sounds good, I was thinking something along the same lines while I was standing outside in the remnants of a tropical storm, I was soaking it:). But wouldn't any park just be incredible having two Scwartzkopfs chillin' just right there like together.....especially those two!

It looks a lot like Viper will be removed. I wouldn't care though because I find nothing special about a shuttle loop. I mean after riding Hypersonic the Viper launch now seems like nothing, and is one of the more boring rides at the park. I would gladly accept an Arrow 4D, or Intamin hyper over a pathetic shuttle loop.
I also think that Free-Fall will also be removed and replaced by an Intamin impulse. There is hardly any lines at FF now due to Acro, and Acro is so much better anyway. Besides a short coaster like an impulse would fit SFOG's pattern of short rides. It also won't hurt the park to get rid of Viper or FF because they rarely have lines and our basically walk-ons.

Just a shuttle loop? The last dozen or so times I rode Viper I was out of my seat basically from the launch, that ride is a ball. Location, location. location.......wouldn't the GP be ripped off by having another DejaVu in the park(ie. Impulse, even though it's not the same, but is)?
