Could this be a future 4D?

At the IAAPA 2000 convension, Arrow had a preview of their 4D seats. They were green and purple. If X was so close to production, why didn't they put up the yellow and pink seats? B&M had Nitro's train and Wildfires beacause they were do to come out. There were also some other coaster that were previewed like SOB. Think these could be the second 4D's seats? Here's a Picture.

Click on "Arrow Restraint" on the left cause it's not a direct link to the picture.

They are probably ArrowBatic seats.

Yep, those are the same style restraints found on both 4ds and (I believe) arrowbatics.

The things shown there that show up on coasters are usally actual rolling stock, not a demo seat.

If this is another 4D, it's most likely not for great adventure cause they have a Green and Purple ride.

That's a test seat, not a 4d. It's probably never going to show up on a ride. It that was an actual car, it would be a different story.

how would you be able to go to IAAPA? i would really like to go and would like to know where the next one is.
Hulkster, you goto Orlando next year when it goes on, and you pay admission. Why would you want to go? It isn't a carnival, it's a trade expo, more or less.

Trbiggar, I don't think just anyone can go. You have to be in the industry or have an ACE membership. But in my opinion, ACErs shouldn't be allowed in. It is a trade show for bussiness, not coaster buffs.

ACErs go there to talk and to learn about the industry not go there for the hell of it just to meet people and get bragging rights. It's a great learning experience that should not be passed up. Plus there are not a lot of people in ACE as compared to the total number of people who love coasters. If it was open to everyone it would be a frenzy and would probably ruin the whole experience.

But why? Most ACErs aren't going to buy anything.

Because ACERs are still GP and they can tell the Ride manufacturers what the GP likes and doesnt like.

Anyone can go, but why the hell would you? Have you ever been to a trade show? They suck. They're boring. The only saving grace this year was that it was in Orlando (Atlanta in November... not my thing).

People are there to conduct business, to sell their weenie ovens, Skeeball machines and Frog Hoppers. They're not there to entertain questions from enthusiasts as you fondle and oogle their goodies.

After lookin at those pictures, if I was able to ride some of those rides while there then I'd definately want to go if it was near me. Otherwise, it'd be cool just to see what everyone has on display..nothing I would travel hundreds and hundreds of miles for though.
