According to the county coroner in a story from The Los Angeles Times, the death of a woman sustaining an aneurysm on Six Flags Magic Mountain's Goliath
"was due to an accident on the ride, due to injuries she sustained." The representative continued to say, "It was a not a natural cause of death."
Later in the day, the Associated Press reports that coroner's office made a "premature" judgement, and that the case "wasn't finalized."
Read the stories from The Los Angeles Times and AP.
Was it this ladies first time on a coaster or goliath?
I still don't think the coaster triggered it
That's what I want to know! Was it her first time on Goliath or any other coaster?
Guys and Girls, I say, if there is a big news story on dateline or something, we should personally contact them and tell them the real story. + G Forces and other questions we dont think they can answer. We know more about coasters than they ever will. They find ways to make money and stories like this are big now. As the RollerCoaster public we do not need bad reports on the Coasters when it is definatly not the coaster's fault (in this instance =).
The question of whether it was her first time riding is a very good one that hasn't been answered, and even if the coroner hadn't reversed the assistance to the cause of death (Goliath) then we definately could have changed that person's mind.
We are Coaster Fanatics. Hear us roar. (hehe..)

I honestly believe the coaster did make it burst. BUT the coaster did NOT make her have this PRE EXISTING condition.
When we ride our hearts race, and the blood pressure goes up. Even if the helix pulled the blood from her head, it had to return sometime. And I am sure if the helix is that strong, it probably made her heart race even faster, and made the beats stronger.
yah and there is a sign at the enterance "Do bot ride with any heart related problems" so that would fit in that warniing.

True of all great coasters of the past and present, and future
it's a ride you'll remember for the rest of your lifeand probably will want to ride again.
There is even an article in todays newpaper here in Sydney Australia about the incident.
Two people died of brain aneurisms within three years of each other on the same ride at Cedar Point. Magnum? No. Raptor? No. Mean Streak? No.
Which one? The Wild Cat, of all things. There must be some common connection, though I don't know what it is.
To answer riddler #3's and S.J.R's question, yes, it was her very first time on a rollercoaster. I personally think that she shoul not have chosen Goliath, one of the tallest coasters in the world as her first coaster.
THE TALLER THEY GET THE MORE INTENSE THEY ARE!
