Cornballs and Cheetahs, oh my!

The two 2001 wooden wooden coasters make their final news at CustomCoasters.com. Each coaster has their "Ride Unveiling" stories explaining exactly what each ride is about.

Cornball Express - Monticello, IN, Indiana Beach's 2nd CCI wooden coaster. Featuring a 79 foot first winding drop and speeds reaching 46 mph, the ride includes much airtime and may tight turns.

Cheetah - Valdosta, GA, Wild Adventure's first CCI. The ride is an out and back featuring hills of weightlessness and a ground-hugging finale, Cheetah charms all of it's riders.

Check out more at the CCI news page.

The cornball express looks really cool. So does Cheetah, but I have a problem with its lack of landscaping. I can understand Cornball's lack of space, but the Cheetah should have some grass around it at the very least.

Forget about it. It can't be THAT bad!
For everybodys Info, regarding cheetah.
Even though the coaster was late to open according to the parks early projected date they did a real good job to get it open when they did, The park is practically built in a swamp and wetlands plus the area recieved alot of rain during the construction of the coaster wich caused the ground to stay wet. Therefore the construction equipment tore the ground up very bad. Even as they opened the coaster on the 16th most of the construction equipment was still present including a crane to lift the second train on to the transfer track.
The park also had signs expressing the apology of the state of the surrounding area of the coaster and that there main intent was to get the coaster open as soon as possible and to come back later in the season to see final product with landscaping.

Doesn't it seem that CCI coasters are getting shorter?

Cool. Although I enjoy the coasters at Six Flags Marine World, they have never bothered to landscape them. It's kinda like having a powerful sports car with a bad paint job.

They had signs? That's cool. Most parks wouldn't bother.

Cheetah is awesome. I love it. It is one of my favorite wooden roller coasters. The figure-eight finale is breathtaking. The first drop is incredable and the little bunny hop hills in-between the big hills have huge amounts of air.
The only problem is that the train's restrants are a little uncomfertable. They are almost exactly like the lap bars on Mindbender at SFoG and Viper at SFoG. So when you catch some air on the Cheetah you get a little bruse on the thies.
