Americana (Now called The great americana amusement park at Lesourdsville Lake) is opening in 2002. Indivdual visits are very improtant to the parks survival.

Chuck, you hit the nail right on the head! IMO, any ride that leaves you laughing hysterically, is fine just the way it is.

So many coasters, so little vacation time....

Anyone ever ridden the Whip at Kennywood? (flat ride) Jeez, WHIP packs a punch!

This is my list of coasters a lot of people don't realize are good: (that i've ridden)

1.Wildcat - Hersheypark: This ride is seem so freakin' fast ripping around those turns!

2.Jack Rabbit - Kennywood: Double Dip + Seatbelt Only (And gives you at least 1ft of room) = MEGA AIR. This ride probably has more air/neg Gs than any coaster on the planet.

3.Demon Drop - SO COOL!

Why do they report power outages on TV?

Cornball Express is a very good coaster. Everytime I've rode it I had a blast and you have to love all of that airtime with those nice PTC trains.

This thread reminded me of something that happened to me at Kennywood back in 1994. I was at the park for the first time - by myself - and skipped the Auto Racer because "it was just a kiddy ride." I had no idea of the historical significance or the rarity of the ride [last one left, IIRC].

My second visit was last year and I went with a group of friends. We rode Auto Racer and it was one of the highlights of the day. We started slapping hands as we'd pass but it quickly degenerated into a contest to see who could handslap the hardest. We all came off with sore, red palms and laughing uncontrollably.

One thing about Kennywood, If you don't do somethng in the park, you missed something!

We walked past the Noahs Ark probably 10 times before I said lets do it! Well I had to do it again and again and we even hit the OLD MILL. Kennywood is great and so is IB

Chuck, who must now not miss Idlewild because he's been past it and Williams Grove 3 times now without stopping!

Lesourdsville Lake, The great American amusement park opens the season June 6th Thurs-Sun every week. Park phone is (513)539-2193

I rode Cornball Express for the first time this past Saturday and absolutely fell in love with this ride. I'm with Colin W. on this one, that third drop in the final car is unbelievable. I was standing straight up, laughing my head off. Look at all the expressions on the riders as it makes its final brake- no one is frowning. I've had the fortune to ride 30 different coasters in the past 12 months, and I already consider CE as one of my favorites.I was really impressed with Indiana Beach- the food was outstanding, the people were great, and I can't wait til LoCoSuMo opens for another day at this terrific, underrated park.
