cOOlest loading station?

Mine are:

1. Dueling Dragons
2. Hulk
3. Millenium Force
4. Kraken
5. Goliath
I think Space Mountain and Riddler's Revenge tie for first, and Batman the Ride being a close second.
My favorite has got to be Dueling Dragons at IOA. The long and twisting tunnels just add to the ride. Although I would never go on it if the line started at the Dragons entrance(like a 3 hour wait). Has any one been there when the line was out side the Castle? I also realy like Dr. Dooms Fearfall Line and loading platform the line was awsome with the smoke and the big screen tv. I love how when you board doors open instead of little gates. Waiting in those kind of lines are almost as fun as the ride itself.
I like Space Mountain and Dueling Dragons.

Jack, who can't wait for Opening Day 2001...

I was gonna start this topic yesterday right after reading the Coolest staion music thread, but I got distracted...

Any way, I like Magnum's station, but I think that Superman: Ride of Steel at Six Flags New England is the coolest I've seen (haven't seen lots of stations).

My personal favorite coaster stations are:

PKI's Vortex - love the Victorian theming that was originally used for the Bat.

Millennium Force - almost like being in a space station.

Iron Dragon - ride is okay but the medieval look of the station is awesome.

Drachen Fire - even though the ride is closed, I hope the park decides to use it for another coaster. Very detailed and fits well with the Oktoberfest theme.
I think Batman: the Ride at SFGAm is the best themed loading station. Oh, and Viper at SFGAm is a pretty good one.
I like Viper's theming at Six Flags Grat Adventure. Sometimes they even have a Wild West performance while you wait in line. Definitely better than the rise itself!
I think Boulder Dash has a great station; the colors are cool and it's really unique!
Millennium Force. I think that the assigned seating really helps with the experience of this ride. You go into the station and it is nearly empty, and gives you that sense that you are about to go on an adventure (especially if it is your first ride). Along with the cool music and lights, that is one great station. I guess it really must be the off-season if we are talking about the stations :) Can't wait until spring!
I think that the Raging Bull has a great loading station. Not that it is the best themed, but I love the atmosphere there.

Am I the only one who thinks Millennium Force's station is NOT all that special? It's just a metal tube with lights and music.

Space Mountain, Indiana Jones (not a coaster), Riddler's Revenge and Superman:TE all are well themed.

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
My favorites are...

Millenium Force (CP)
Batman the Ride (SFStL)
Magnum XL-200 (CP)
Mr. Freeze (SFStL)
Raven (Holiday World)
Legend (Holiday World)

Deuling Dragons and Rockin' Roller Coaster have the best themed stations of any coaster I have been on.

"FEAR the Four!"
No, Soggy, you're not the only one. The Millennium Force loading station is basically themed like the inside of a toaster. What's that all about, anyway?? I think the Magnum station has a better look to it (not to mention the lack of idiot gates). If I'm looking for a "c00l" loading station, I want something that's got some creativity behind it. Hence my vote for Dragon Mountain's gunite cave. Or the ***** ******: Flight of Fear flying saucer. The Beast has a cool mine shaft look on the outside, but inside it's just a coaster platform. But then, "just a coaster platform" isn't necessarily a bad thing; if you want a really classy looking coaster platform, look no further than the Knoebel's Twister, Hersheypark's Lightning Racer, Wildcat, or Comet, or, heck, even the Wyandot Lake Sea Dragon or the Kennywood Thunderbolt...

Millennium Force: Toastah Coastah!

Yes, the Flight o' Fear rides get my vote for cool station. Creepy though, that if you were mugged and dropped in one of them you wouldn't know if you were in Virginia or Ohio.

Word on the street is that the Dueling Dragons have a cool station, but I've not yet been there.

Apollo's Chariot and Alpengeist certainly have well-themed stations, and I'm quite fond of the Volcano setup as well.

I like S:ROS at SFA because of its future look, and I love B:TR and Dueling Dragons.

Those little aliens inside the glass freaked me out on OL:FoF! :)
(assuming they don't yank them out in the off season)
Next time you go, look more closely at the "aliens" behind the glass on **:FOF. I hate to tell you this, but those aren't aliens unless you are native to the spacecraft. At PKI, at least, one of those one-time parkgoers seems to be holding a plush toy.......!
