Cool Coaster Names - CoasterBuzz

Help! I have just finnished building a new park on RCT2 and now need names for my rides. Any ideas guys!

So far the best I have come up with include ThunderBird for my Inverted, Mammoth for my out 'n' back woodie, and Brute Force for my wood twister.

I have twenty coasters in my park plus god knows how many flat rides and water rides so all attempts will be appreciated.

I always liked Nefarious as a name for a coaster, but for a water ride, you could use Black Tide if you have it with some "spooky" theming. You could also use Desperado for a Top Spin, and Eye of the Storm for an Enterprise.

Well, one of my favorite names for a large coaster is MONSTROSITY. You could theme it with the spooky objects and stuff. Also, I really like the name "Power Dive" for like a coaster or thrill ride that dives. (I know Power Dive is a defunct looping ride from SFGAm, but I like it anyways. :-) )

YOUNGSTOWN 2010

My park is based around a lake and contains several themed areas. There is:

- LAND OF OUR PAST: this part of the park has been broken down into Coney Island, Mine Town, and a dinosaur themed land that I haven't got a name of yet. The main ride in Coney Island is the Cyclone, in Mine Town is an enclosed wooden wild mouse, and in the dinosaur land is a wooden out 'n' back similar to Shivering Timbers in size and design which is called Mammoth at the moment.

- SPACEPORT USA: The main ride here is a launched coaster which is supposed to ressemble an Intamin rocket coaster and is so far called The Rocket. Within this part of the park is the Astronauts Training programme which is a number of flat rides and a boomerang whose jobs are to simulate what the Astronauts go through, these all need space themed names.

- LAND OF MYTH AND LEGEND: Massive Inverted coaster is the centre piece of the park. It is supposed to represent an amphibian, with half of the ride running on land through trees and the other constantly diving in and out of the lake. Within this part of the park is a haunted village so 'scary' names would do nicely

- STUNTZONE: All rides set on insane mode. Anything that can give a thrill is in this part of the park. Flying coaster is centre piece.

- MOTHER NATURE: Name of this section needs changing but u get the point that its all to do with natures wild side. El Nino is the main attraction here, but I need some more names to do with 'the elements'.

Ideas please.....

heres some random names for a space theme: Event Horizon, Black Hole, Cygnus :), Supernova, Nova, Comet, Singularity, Lightspeed Thruster, Meteor, Any planet name, Andromeda, Orion, Ursa Major/Minor, Deneb, Vega, Capella, Alnitak, Alnilam, Mintaka, Saiph, Bellatrix, Betelguise, Rigel (the last 7 names are stars in Orion). Theres tons more. I get almost all my ride names from astronomy terms/stars/constellations!

For your launched coaster: Ignition, Apollo, and Apogee are favorite names of mine (none of which I've used).

Nature-themed rides: Quake/Earthquake, Mountaintop Mayhem, and Inferno can represent nature/elements.

Your flying coaster could be called Xtreme Flyer/Flight, Divebomber, G-Force, Project: Flight/Mission: Flight, or, borrowing ideas from Fight Club, Project Mayhem.

That's all I have right now, but I'll try and help out once I think of more. I hope you found my suggestions useful!

Quake is a good one that I have used before but as a coaster name, it is now a flat ride

I have used some of your flying names, my favourite being DiveBomber

And Project Mayhem is the name of my stunt part of the park.

How about "Woody Mammoth" for your giant, prehistoric themed out-and-back?

Here are a few I've got names for but not rides: Fantasy, Showdown, Gauntlet (any ideas for a coaster to go along with this?), Roadrunner, Alpha Thruster for the Intamin, Fear, Knot or Twisted Metal for a twisted coaster. That's all I have to say about that.

flying coaster names: Aquila, Vega, Altair, Albatross, ...heh Cygnus. all of those names relate to birds

UTUKM: Gauntlet sounds like a good name for an out-and-backer.

Gauntlet would also work for a premier LIM coaster, like FOF.

My favorite names are Redline and Live Wire.

if you want some names for a medevil theme: Cassiopia (queen cass.), Cepheus (king ceph.), Perseus (the hero), Andromeda (the maiden), Cetus (the monster), Pegasus (the winged horse).
