Attorneys for a construction worker injured in 2014 at Dorney Park & Wildwater Kingdom won a $2.75 million settlement for him, according to a news release. Anthony Dos Santos had to have his lower right leg amputated after his foot was crushed by a forklift. The claim against Cedar Fair was dismissed, but the construction contractor remained a defendant in the suit.

Most lay people don’t associate amusement parks with serious construction sites. I have been involved with many construction projects at my park over the years and I have seen my share of near misses.
Ride installations are serious construction sites that often involve big boy pieces of equipment and machines operated by skilled workers.
It just shows you that serious accidents can still occur when constructing fun things like amusement rides and roller coasters.
