Construction on pretzel loop begins on New Jersey's Superman

Posted | Contributed by Chewman

With temperatures barely exceeding thirty degrees throughout the past two weeks, construction workers continued their fast-paced effort to get Superman: Ultimate Flight up and running. The lift hill and drop are totally complete and the pretzel loop is starting to take shape. Many track pieces are on site waiting to be assembled.

My heart quivers with glee!

It certainly took them long enough to get this far...

You'd think they would have started construction in the fall when the weather was still relatively nice.

According to Gadv.com, S:UF will open 4/17 instead of 4/5, opening day.... :(

You must be this dumb to ride Viper. -SFGAdv.

they finished the lift and drop type fast that was only one week long or a little longer. I think I see the trench for the pretzel loop there too.
The first late Beemer........:( Two weeks is not that drastic though...I forgive SFGadv
Relish your first few rides on SUF. After three or four rides, it getc kinda boring.

It's not the first late B&M... their own Batman: The Ride did not open until May '93, as I recall.

ROTFLMFAO rollergator.

It is bizzare to me to see a parking-lot coaster, except at a fair. We don't know anything about that at SFA. Now dead grass, yeah we know that. I guess we'll all have to wait and see come May if it looks any prettier.

The parking lot has been tore up. But then again so was the parking lot under X Flight.

A few other B&M's haven't made their opening day deadline. Whether or not they were intending to make it is something I am unsure of though.

Intamin Fan-

Scream at SFMM is going in the parking lot and so is parts of SUF at SFGAm. It must be some new trend that SF came up with.

Draegs - What trend? They've had quite a few notable "parking lot" coasters built in the past.

- Colossus (SFMM)

- ShockWave (SFGAm)

- Medusa (SFMW)

- Déjà Vu (SFoG)

- Roar! (SFMW)

- Zonga (SFMW)

kraxleridah-

Titan (SFoT)

I wouldn't consider Shockwave notable, instead it should be noticable.

The top 3 all time cobrarolls.

1)Raptor's
2)Deja Vu's (times 3)
3)Batman Knight Flight's

If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

Is this new opening date confirmed?

I'm going on my Senior trip and we will be hitting SFGAdv. on opening day. I was really looking forward to riding this B&M masterpiece.
