Construction lights on American Eagle. Any idea?

I noticed this last year also. The normal lights to light up AE are turned off for the season but once again this year they have what appears to be construction type lights on the upward track just before the big helix. Any idea what they are doing? Possibly nighttime retracking?

I heard something about retracking the red train.
Do you mean the Red track? Didn't they just do both a few years ago?
And why would they do it at night? I have seen those lights too, but I don't have a clue...
Well It gets dark around 4 or 5 now, so I assume they do need them to work to at least 6 or 7. As for the helix, I thought they just finished re-tracking the whole ride about 2 or 3 season ago. Well they are probably replacing some wood or track or just keeping the ride rideable. I wouldn't worry too much. (Please don't let me be wrong!)

If they retracked a few years ago, they sure didn't do a very good job of it...  That thing is rickety-er than heck... If they redid that coaster correctly, we might see an excellent coaster...

I think they retracked one side of it this last season. I cannot remember which one, but I remember riding early in the season and having the smoothest ride I have had on that ride since it's opening season and the trim brake at the top of the helix was almost off. I rode later in the year and the other side was open. I thought it was going to shake all the teeth from my mouth. It was extremely rough and the helix brake was on hard.

Cheers,
