Construction continues in Windjammer's absence

Windjammer is gone. Work is moving along on completely clearing the site in preparation for the new coaster. Wipeout looks almost ready to open in its new location. Vertigo's site is undergoing preparations with the holes for the three footers already excavated. Finally, mazes for this year's Halloween Haunt are starting to go up.

Cool, can't wait for that coaster TBA:)
Wow! That thing took up more space than I thought. I'm really excited at the thought of a new coaster in that area. It should completely change the look and feel of the boardwalk area. So-cal  will be rocking for next year's Coaster Con!
I think that a B&M inverted that is small short and compact will go there. I think this is true because CP,DP have one and VF is getting one so why would they want KBF to be the only one without one. Its a shame that they were the only CF park to not get a Hyper.
Perilous Plunge looks dead. Why isn't the ride running.

With the open land after the de-construction of Windjammer, I think that KBF could add a small B&M inverted coaster.

"Perilous Plunge looks dead. Why isn't the ride running." - StealthmF5m3

Perilous Plunge looks dead because it is and it has been down since the beginning of this month. The ride was being tested one morning when the lift chain snapped again. This left the boat stranded on the lift and there hasn't been a replacement for the chain yet. That ruined the thought that Perilous Plunge would have its first full summer season in operation and it's definitely missed in this hot month.

As for WindJammer's replacement, I am really anticipating the announcement of the new coaster. Knott's really needs a steel full circuit coaster to make their very small lineup look better. As for VertiGo, I'm waiting to see how it's going to fit into Ghost Town. They already made one mistake with the name. Anyway, it looks like Knott's is doing well with all these new changes.

I think whatever Knott's is going to do with that area will be big.  Their last two attractions have been groundbreaking (Ghostrider and Perilous Plunge), although they have had their share of problems.  While it's not going to be a hyper this year, it will be something that people will definitely wish were being built in their hometown park.  Jack, don't let us down!!!

Medusafanatic & StealthmF5me:  the park has already decided what kind of coaster is going in Windjammer's place.  There is no point in speculating what might go there.  While the park has not announced it yet all you need to do is check out the previous Windjammer threads and you'll see the details have been spelled out.

The ride is not going to be a B&M it is in fact an Intamin coaster. Where have you been lately? Just thought that i'd correct you!

I know that this is completely unrelated to Knott's, but Roller Coaster Database just loaded some computer generated videos of X that are out of this world.  Check it out!
