Anyone spotted more construction at the park? Are there any websites out there covering it? I'm gonna go put the two of them together if I have to!
The only thing I saw this last Friday was a crane over where Deja-Vu is being constructed. I assume now with this crane that they are in the process of installing coaster track. I still couldnt see any visible vertical construction though.

I just drove past the park today on my way home from the Ohare Airport.
I saw two Deja Vu supports about 150' foot tall.
YES!!! IT IS UNDERWAY!!!!!

You couldn't see any visible construction and you went yesterday? Weird, I wonder what that 90' blue support sticking up in the middle of the park was... ;)
BMCOASTER, those supports are nowhere near 150'...about 90-100 more like. Just some clarification.
EDIT: I just actually read your post, Chitown, and realized you wrote Friday and not Saturday. I'm an idiot. :)

It's about time they started.

Get wrapped in the coils of Viper at SFGAm.
Can they build two coasters in roughly 50 days? There are going to be some upset people who come to the park in early May if V2 isn't done.
they will probebly have 2 crews one for deja vu and one for v2 and its not like v2 would be that much work and deja vu shouldnt take that long, how long did it take them to do the bull like 2 months with out pouring the footers but just steel construction and then with a few weeks- a month of testing i think it should be more than enough time but you know how sfgam is they seem to open every thing a few weeks late
Yes Bull Fan, 2 shuttle coasters, especially V2 can be fully constructed within that time. We are so used to full circuit coasters at this park that we dont realize how quick a shuttle coaster can go up.
Legendary, glad you caught that about my sighting on Friday but I might have missed something. I was doing about 80 MPH on the tollway so I couldnt totally focus on the park. But I did see the tall crane around the old Sky Whirl area.

Let's see here... park Buy-outs begin I believe the 14th of April, I'm sure they can't be up by then, right? Also... I wonder if the people attending the buy-outs are expecting them to be open, I hope not, what a disappointment that will be to them.

They usually inform the guests that the new attractions will not be operating during the buyouts. At least that's what they did in 1999 with Raging Bull.

A buyout is when a company/group pays the park to rent it out for the day. Usually they pay LOTS of money since they will be the ONLY ones in the parks those days.
