Amid opposition from residents, a financially troubled amusement park that is home to the country's sixth-oldest wooden roller coaster has scuttled plans for a county-backed loan that would allow it to open on time. Officials with Conneaut Lake Park on Monday learned that Crawford County officials likely would not approve a $150,000 loan that would allow the 110-year-old park to open in time.

I plan to email the county and explain that I hope taht they would reconsider and allow the park to get the funds needed to open, because I and a friend plan to go there in late June. We plan to stay the night there as well, so that would be two days that we would be spending money in their county.
