Conneaut Lake Park's Future a lot Brighter

Gonch has it. If it looks like a duck and sounds like a duck, it's a roller coaster. ;)

In that case, Devil's Den passes my personal test.
Isn't that all that really matters? :)

It's just you, Gonch. And here I was, thinking you had somewhat good taste in music ;)

Heh. I'll be the first to admit my taste in entertainment is generally bottom of the barrel. I'm ok with it.

(not that I dig the Brady Bunch - that's the problem!)

Devils Den -- It coasts. Enough said.

Well I haven't seen it, but from the description up-thread it sure sounds like a wild mouse, even if it's a small one. Kennywood made a dark ride out of a wild mouse and as far as I know everybody counts that as a coaster. The only difference is theirs is a full-size production model, but still, if it coasts, it should be a coaster. We count kiddie coasters even though they're small and slow.

I always considered Devil's Den to be a coaster.
Mechanical lift device. (I'll take even human-powered lift, ie, Switchback railways.)
At least one decline.
Coasting under speed of gravity after take-off point.

The same goes for that darkride at Camden Park. That makes Camden a 3 credit park since thay have those two classic woodies.

Jim, it's not really a Wild Mouse at all, but it does zig and zag. Truth is, Devil's Den isn't much larger than the loading area for a regular park installation of a Wild Mouse!
I don't keep a track record but if I did, my cirteria for what is and isn't a roller coaster would be whatever the park decides to call a ride.

Something like Wicked Twister seems more like a flat ride to me since it is mostly powered through the entire ride cycle. And First Gen Free Falls are pretty much complete circuit roller coasters.

Who cares?

SFAW once went so far as to count their 2nd generation Intamen drop tower as a coaster.

^You mean it's not????

Am I the only one who keeps thinking of the Brady Bunch singing, "We can make the world a whole lot brighter..." everytime I read the title of this thread?

It's driving me nuts.

It's a sun shiny day!!!!

Lol, Bravo been running the Brady Bunch Movie on overload.

Great. Now I have THAT one stuck in my head. :)

It could be worse: It could the Patridge Family.

C'mon get happy!

I hate you. ;)

Partridge Family? Geez. That's much better than any of the following:

Fear Factory

Metallica

Pantera

Pink Floyd

;)

^You forgot Krokus. Those darned orange jumpsuits still look scarey in those old vidoes.
