Most rides will be operational at Conneaut Lake Park amusement park this summer, but its famed Blue Streak wooden-tracked roller coaster won’t be operating until at least 2010. Trustees of the park say they've secured a lease agreement to get most of the park up and running.

Good to hear. Hopefully this works and the park is able to get back on its feet. I'd like to think that with Geauga Lake gone and the economy forcing some people to hold off on big vacations, there would be a niche for Conneaut.
I sure hope so as well. My fear is that with Blue Streak down for (at least) this season, it will highly negatively impact attendance, and raise questions about the long range viability of the park.

How many more questions can there be? ;)

Maybe I should have phrased it, "raise the same old questions"? ;)

Things have changed a lot since the last time Conneaut was open. Different circumstances might mean a new life for the park, provided the people running the place know what they're doing.
I just hope they have my 'Scooters' up and running. I can spend a whole day on those alone.
Hopefully they'll get the water park working as well.

I hope that reopening doesn't mean 10 future news stories about how it's going to close again. Let's hope somebody knows what they're doing.

here you go!
I can't wait to go there and ride my scooters.
Camping at Camperland last year wasn't the same without the park being open, but we did take a lot of good pics.
