Conneaut Lake Park set to close for good.

Conneaut Lake Park has until Friday, May 5th 2006, to get $500,000 to open the park for this year after the bank refused to loan the park money for operation.

No local owners are looking to help out, and as of right now, the park is set to remain closed all year this year. All 30 employees have been laid off and the park is empty.

No person has stepped up to try and save the park, and if closed, developers are standing on edge waiting to gobble up the park to develop it into lakefront housing and such.

So, sad news indeed. If not operating this year, and no solid financing for next year arises, this may be the final end of Conneaut Lake Park.

Thank God I made it to the park 2 years ago. I'll treasure that experience forever. I hope it can be saved and Libertyland too and I still have some hope for LeSourdsville Lake also.
