Conneaut Lake needs $300,000 to open for season

Conneaut Lake Park still owes money for start-up loans from three previous seasons, so it no longer can borrow. Operations Director George Deshner said he hopes wealthy people with warm feelings for the park will step forward to save its season. The park needs $300,000.

"...for the park will step forward to save its season."Even the owner knows it's just a bandaid, and that it still won't actually save the park, just open it for another season so it can be in the same situation this time next year. It's a shame really, but it seems an inevitably slow and painful death.

If they want the wealthy to help, they should get bill gates to shake out some of the spare change in his pajama pockets and they could plop a couple B&Ms, a decent woody and a few flats :).
