Conneaut Lake generates tax revenue despite financial woes

Despite being delinquent in paying real estate taxes, in 2006, the 115-year-old Conneaut Lake Park paid more than $150,000 — including amusement taxes to Summit Township; payroll taxes; and county, state and federal taxes.

If you're not going to pay a tax, at least they decided on the one that wouldn't get them into more trouble. So they don't pay the property tax, nobody can place a lien on the property, or penalize them otherwise because the park is under court control. At least they kept paying their payroll, state, and federal taxes. Those are the ones you better make sure you pay. It's amazing how many businesses get into major trouble for not paying payroll taxes.
