If all goes as planned, reopening of the water park complex at Conneaut Lake Park in 2016 will give the amusement park another revenue stream.

Waterparks have proven to be exceptionally profitable, low-cost investments.
Where Conneaut would go to get the money to make that investment is another (unanswered) question...
You still have Zoidberg.... You ALL have Zoidberg! (V) (;,,;) (V)
So I went to Google Maps for a birds eye view of Conneaut to see if the water park was as decrepit as I remember. Answer: yes. There's a slide of some sort, a tower with two slides off of it and a lazy river, all of which look none too inviting. I remember from my visit a number of years ago that the slides are set back off the midway amidst some trees, and I always think of waterparks as being fairly open, and paved, with plenty of sunshine.
So I agree with BrettV, all this has been sitting derelict for a long time and an overhaul (or a completely different location altogether) would be in order. And I agree with Mr. Gator. If this improvement is to take place its going to require some cash.
As I cruised through the map I was reminded of what a great place Conneaut was and what potential there is. There's a lot of space and lakeside amusement parks can be so wonderful. So good luck to them as they make yet another attempt to revitalize that sad, sad place.
Maybe they could actually USE Pepsi...you know, like instead of water.
The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist
