Conneaut Lake board wants to quit, judge wants financials first

Members of the court-appointed Conneaut Lake Board still have not produced the requested financial report for the park, so the judge had scheduled a contempt of court hearing to help motivate them. He says he will not entertain any resignations until the report has been filed.

None of them know what they are doing per say 100%, so they are in a pickle. Stay tuned.....
How the heck can a judge prevent someone from quitting? Not their place!

Thats like walking up to a boss you don't like, saying "I quit!" and then he says "You can't quit."

Uh, when you're court appointed and don't do what the court asks, yes, they can hold you in contempt.
*feels stupid*

I missed the court appointed part.

And they can still actually 'quit', but they could run the risk of being held in contempt, which means possible jail time, fines, etc.
No, they have to carry out basic duties that were assigned to them. They can also hire proper management, if finances permit. However, we do not know that information. Vicious Catch-22 forming.
Now that they've posted the locals comments regarding the article, it would seem they really want the park to close.
sad.
I think the people offering the reader comments should be put on the board. After all some of them seem to know everything about everything. Sounds amazingly like my hometown.
