Congrats to Thrills Chills & Spills.....

....For not using the same stock footage again for the coasters. While the footage with the black-haired weird-looking woman in the front seat of Magnum, appeared for a moment, most of the footage was FINALLY looking newer. Way to go!
The Millennium Force footage was all chopped from a bunch of different videos. You can tell from the trees. Still, it was an excellent production that had me drooling for my PKD trip on Thursday.

Yes, the forward POV of MF is the very same that you'll find on Guide to The Point. I also have a dub of the reverse POV with the redhead in the front seat.

They used the very old Texas Giant footage from '95 or so... Sheesh, if you look in the background you can still see a white Shockwave!

And the Giant still has the double-up.

It's my opinion!
You ain't going to change it!
Why even try?
The thing I don't understand is how Magnum was the number 1 steel coaster when it was ranked #7 by voters on the website. I really wish they would have used the polls on the website for the TV rankings.

Why doesn't Discovery Channel hold an internet poll as to what the best coasters are by the average Joe, then hold a show focusing on those rides.

Because the "Average Joe" hasn't been to multiple parks. And they will usually vote for rides at their home park if they haven't been to others, thereby skewing the vote to parks nearest to large population centers and away from the Holiday Worlds and Michigan Adventure type of small parks.

The polls on their website if you notice are for next years show.

force312, the polls are not for next years show. Discovery Channel uses polls conducted by coaster clubs/magazines.

I thought the three shows were excellent. When they showed the GRP team they rode all the coasters that I will be going on in August, I can't wait!
