Oooooh! Nice line-up this year.
^No kidding! One of my first Blonde Redhead shows was at Coney Island (the FIRST was Brownie's), it was one of those free shows they would have once a month. I think they were called Coney Island High, or Coney Island Fire, maybe? Anyway, anyone in the area who's into that genre of music should def. check this out. I wish I could!

Yeah the line up looks stellar. Oh how I'd love to ride the Cyclone and see Death Cab and Blonde Redhead all in the same day. Lucky NYC peeps.

Just a reminder that this is coming up soon. Is anyone going? I'd like a full on TR from it.

I'll be going - I've made every one so far. With the Stillwell Ave subway station reopened (and weather permitting) this could be the biggest one to date.

Last year there was a major power outage in Manhattan that shut down a lot of train service not to mention the hassle of taking the shuttle bus from Avenue X.

I'll never forget the first year with Peaches playing next to Astroland's Kiddieland at 1:00 in the afternoon - let's just say there were many not too pleased parents. AND Nothing will ever top seeing 10th street completely packed jamming to Jon Spencer Blues explosion while hurtling down the first hill of the Cyclone - simply AMAZING!

Best,

Jimvid...waiting on your trip report pleeeeease! Or anyone else's for that matter.
