Complaints about Rides

I have only been posting and reading this board for a few days and already I see a pattern. There are a bunch of whiner poor me people complaining about TTD and any other Coaster that was down while they visited a park. I feel sorry for these people that they can't enjoy a day at these respective parks without felling they were cheated out of something. I for one consider myself pretty lucky every time I step foot in a park. I could be on Deployment in the middle east or dead. Some of you have your priorities all screwed up yes I understand you payed to get a ride but there are bunch of people that will have to wait to get that ride or maybe not ever get to ride it because they are crippled or worse. give it a rest guys it is a ride but it isn't the end of the world if you don't get a chance this year.
Well, no matter how much anyone says, people will still complain as long as TTD is down. I say that if they start another thread about it, you should tell them to cry themsleves a river or tell somebody who cares, because frankly, a lot of people are getting fed up with these monotonous posts. For the people who read this and want to complain about TTD, go read one of the other threads somebody started about TTD, because chances are, you'll have the same opinion.

I went to CP last week for 2 days. We were lucky because TTD opened right as we got up to the line both days, so not only did we ride it twice but the lines were short both times (45 min and 20 min). It broke down right after we got off the second time, and I don't think it's been open since. So I guess I can't really talk, but I will anyway. People do need to stop complaining. It won't be torn down after year 1, you will have plenty of time to ride it, don't worry. And even if you don't, CP has a few other good rides...
i agree. im going to cp monday-friday regardless if ttd is up or down. coming from upstate ny, cp is my annual trip every year. i started going before they had ttd and there are tons of other rides to ride at cp. its a beutiful park and it would be a shame to let anything stand in the way of having a good time.
It makes you think, "what did people do last year before TTD was built?" I think there are 15 other world class coasters at the park. Some people will never have enough to be happy. I hate those kind of spoiled people. But some rides have a point. Many people will go to cedar point based on the soul reason that ttd was built this year. It doesn't make sense but they have a right to ride the TTD if they want to. I'm just surprised that TTD isn't back up yet. CP is just starting to appear like SFWoA. I'm not saying that it is but what I saw on the news made CP look REALLY bad.

Riding on top of the world with Cedar Point

I guarantee that CP is doing everything possible to get TTD up and running. The fact that it has been broken down for a while shouldn't reflect on the park's ability to show people a good time. It's not like they're sitting there looking at the ride and procrastinating about when to fix it. It's bad business and they have a reputation to maintain. So don't act like CP is being lazy and careless. I can assure your they aren't.

And then there are the people who complain about people who complain, and of course, the people who complain about the people who complain. :)

Then again, if we don't complain about the complainers, then they'll think that others share their attitude. So go ahead and ignore me. :)

I can partially see their logic, but their anger is misdirected. For example, I live in Wisconsin. For me to travel out to Cedar Point, stay in a hotel, pay admission, ect, ect, ad nauseum, I will end up spending about 500 to 1000 bucks. Now, a big part of the reason this year that I would be making a trip out to the Point this season (as I have visited the past two years already) is to ride TTD. Granted there are 15 other wonderful coasters, all of them worth the drive out alone, however, a chance to ride TTD is just about an equal reason along with the 15 other coasters in the park.

Now I would be upset if I was there for say, three days, and that bad boy didnt operate any of those days. My first inclination might be to be angry at the park for not having it open, but lets face it, these things happen at every park. You dont believe it? I have yet to ride the big green lawn ornament over at SFGAm and that is my home park. Would I be miffed at TTD not running if I was out there? You damned straight I would. Would I be upset at the park? Probably at first, but that is just a gut reaction to things. I would get over it after riding Millennium Force or Magnum pretty quickly.

Ok, zima, let's not get carried away. I am a big fan (not fanboy) of the Point but they don't have 15 other world class coasters. Do they have 15 other coasters yes? World class? Maybe 5 or 6.
