Comfortable trains.

Since I'm probably the only person who would say this and mean it, I'll contribute it ... the most comfortable, safe-feeling restraint I've ever been in is the Vekoma Flying Dutchman soft OTSR. Gimme more of those things all over the place!

You're BIASED.....it's OK, you should be! :)

Aw Brett you can't be serious about the Vekoma Flying Dutchman trains. Those things are horrendously uncomfortable. But you are entitled to your opinion. [shakes head]

The Dipper trains at Geauga Lake are comfortable if you are of average size and height and you ride alone. Sure the padding is very comfortable, but I know too many people who won't (or can't) ride in some of the seats because either they are tall or of a larger stature and have to squeeze into the seats. The middle seats of each car tend to have more leg room, but the front and back seats tend to be smaller. But I have no problems myself with the trains and prefer to ride in the *potato sack* seat. ;)

I almost forgot about Roller Coaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Those trains are like riding on a sofa with wheels.

Brett has a point, the restraint is confertable, and when the ride is smooth its a fantastic ride. Of course the same can be said of B&M flyers too, I guess its just the flexable rubber that holds you in instead of the hard foam.

Remember the old Jumbo Jets? There was one in Coney Island and one used to be on Morey's Pier. Man, those were comfortable trains.

It had the legroom of a Swiss Bob (Byren Curve) type of ride and an open cockpit type of car.

The only thing missing were cup-holders.

Here's To Shorter Lines & Longer Trip Reports!

Of the flying coasters, I've only ridden X-Flight so I really can't speak for the other rides especially the B&M's. But I'm uncomfortable in those trains and so are most of my enthusiast friends who for the most part won't ride the coaster. I don't like the way the restraint feels positioned across my chest and collar bone. I also was extremely uncomfortable with the way all the blood tends rush to your head with your feet elevated when the train reclines. But I guess me and my associates are in a minority because people continue flock to the ride.
