Comcast said on Monday that its NBCUniversal unit had reached an agreement to buy 51 percent of Universal Studios Japan for 183 billion yen. The current owners will retain minority stakes in the theme park in the $1.5 billion deal. The deal values Universal Studios Japan at $6.2 billion.

The only thing that changes is who keeps the money and writes the checks for new attractions. Universal Creative was doing the work regardless.
