One of Orlando's worst-kept secrets was confirmed Tuesday, when Comcast Corp. executives said what theme-park watchers have been speculating for months: A new King Kong attraction will open at Universal Orlando.

I missed the original King Kong ride and I've always heard it was fun. I didn't know anything about Hollywood's updated version King Kong 360 the Ride, or whatever it's called, so I went to YouTube to check it out. It seems like a fun, interesting ride but obviously designed for a pull thru tram.
Now I'm really interested in what Orlando has up their sleeve and wonder if it's something similar, but perhaps with better hardware and a little more oomph in the thrill department.

I thought that Kongfrontation was badass. The suspended tram vehicles were really cool, and when that big hairy dude got up in your grill (or more to the point, you got up in his), he had banana breath. The size and scope of it was really something to behold.

I loved that ride too. When Kong "grabs" the suspended vehicle and shakes it, I'd die laughing every time. I can describe it as expensive and cheesy, at the same time, but not cheesy on purpose.

I wonder if this will be a new ride concept?
