Columbus Day insanity -- Six Flags Great Adventure

Associated parks:
None

The real world is pretty cruel, isn't it?
I've been working at CP this season, and the park was pretty busy, especially on Saturday.

The way I see SFGAdv, it's just not a very good value for such a great park. You practicly need a Flash Pass to get to do as much as you would if you came to a park like CP.

I vote with my wallet. If guest complaints don't make SF change their ways, just don't go, or at least don't go as often. They don't need your business anyways. They'll just charge twice as much as the other parks do and run rides at half capacity. That seems to be the direction they are heading.

Bad Opperations + Large Crowds + Higher Prices than other Parks + The need to buy a Flash Pass to enjoy the parks attractions = Poor Value for your money.

I often wonder what non-enthusiasts who live near SFGAdv think when they visit other parks. Are they used to the way SF is run? Is it a wonderful surprise when they visit Hersheypark, for exapmle?

I had to endure the punishment of working at SFGAdv for a week. It made me miss SFA. THey definitly need to kill off flash pass, for Kingda Ka most of the time they were loading one train with flash pass. With the ride capacity already cut in half thats crazy. Add in the 5 min a launch the line was barly a crawl. If a ride is running under 50% capacity that badly it needs to be fixed bad.

Screamscape reported 38k in the park on Columbus day. Which was the highest all season until last weekend when 41k showed up on Saturday.

Thanks,
DMC
