"As far as I can tell it doesn't matter who you are. If you can believe, there's something worth fighting for..." - Garbage, "Parade"
As others have said before, the record attempt was simply a way to convey to the paying public that Thorpe Park, (which pre-Tussauds days was seen as a small family, water ride based park) is changing and developing into a 'Alton Towers of the South'.
Besides, those who get the chance to ride Colossus and come away disappointed, I'm confident will enjoy the 2003 B&M Inverted.
... jeez, europe is kickin' our booty as far as new '02 coasters are concerned... kinda makes me wanna be european this summer... *** This post was edited by CoasterFunk on 2/4/2002. ***
The Pipeline was a coaster that was being developed by Arrow a number of years ago. The train rode between the track as opposed to on top or below. If you have seen an ultra-twister then you will have an idea of what I mean. There are pictures around of the prototype pipeline that was built at the Arrow factory, but you'll have to hunt around for them. As for the reason no Pipeline coasters were built I'm unsure. There is a coaster in I believe Taiwan in a mall that is a Pipeline coaster built by another company but I forget who that company was. I've seen a picture of it in a couple of different coaster books.
