Coats and gloves this weekend at parks

Man, I cannot believe how cold it is getting this soon in the season. Here in Chicago its going to be upper 30s to low 40s for a high. At night in the 20s with a chance of snow showers. I am just wondering if parks in the upper midwest are going to close early for the day or not open at all. Should be interesting to see if people can ride coasters with snowflakes flying. That would be a great Kodak moment.

You build it, I'll ride it
I wish I could go somewhere before the season closes......

Coasters- a little slice of heaven
The same is to be said for PKI as well. It is a possibility that it might snow here in Cincinnati tomorrow. Keep that in mind if you go to PKI.
It's not supposed to snow in Charlotte, but Carowinds will close for the season tommorrow (Sunday). They will open up on the weekends for the Scarowinds event, but other than that there closed. Well, time to pack up and make a trip to Florida.

What is life without ups and downs!?!?
It wasn't snowing at IOA on Thursday, or MGM on Friday.
Guess we picked a great week to visit Florida.
(just teasing, I'm visiting my parents and would actually like to see snow, while riding a coaster)
I visited SFO today, very cold. It hailed on a ride on Villain, so that was somewhat interesting. Only S:UE and Villain were open though, but that was out-weighed by the fact that it was a completely empty park.
I went to Worlds of Fun yesterday and, to my surprise, everything but Detonator was open. The temp. was in the lower 40s for most of the day.

Also to my surprise, there were quite a lot of people (more than I expected anyway) for the temps we were having.

After this weekend at Knoebels and Lakemont, my ski jacket and ski gloves have been rotated into my amusement park arsenal. I had Isotoner (tm) gloves and a multilayered demin jacket on (and a hooded sweatshirt under that), but those didn't do much against the wind. Brrrrrrrrr...

Ski apparel is designed to keep the wind (and snow ;-) ) out, so...

Brrrrrrrrrr.

I did Big Chief and SFGrAm yesterday in the 36 degree weather... How can I describe it? Well, let's just say the FloridaFlyer could now be called he FloridaFreezer. It was cold! But thankfully I brought warm, warm winter clothes which made it bearable and actually pretty fun!
Today I'm going back to SFGrAm to meet up with Chitown... Gotta ride 'em all, even in extreme temperatures.
