Coater trip 2005 day 1&2 Hershey June 5 & 6

Associated parks:
None

I arrived at the park about 5:30 pm and quickly headed to Storm Runner. I got a walk on back seat ride and a 20 min front seat ride. This thing is great in any seat. You fly over the top hat and have air all the way down the other side.

Next was Great Bear with one-train waits. Absolutely a great ride. Comet was running well as was the Wildcat and Lightning Racer. Thunder was winning a few more of the races than it did last year. It hardly won at all when I visited last year.

I grabbed a few spins on The Claw. I really like these rides and like the longer ride duration than you get on Delirium or MaxAir. The park was empty and it really paid of getting the late entry. Several laps on everything.

Day two was a little more crowded. I started with a lap on Comet and then headed to Great Bear. It was about a 30-35 minute wait. Then I headed to the Superduperlooper just to say that I rode it once. I really do not fit in those trains well with my long legs.

I really thought that Storm Runner was running well Sunday night, but reality set in as the Intamin Rocket was shut down most of the day. It did open up later in the day and I did get another lap in on it before everyone in the park got in line.

It was to my surprise and delight that the crowds stayed around the front of the park and Wildcat and Lightning racer were just about walk on all day. It was very hot and humid and they did shut the rides down a few times for fear of lightning, but the storms did not hit until about five. I left just before then to meet up with some old friends for dinner. *** Edited 6/15/2005 12:34:19 PM UTC by CP ismyhome***
