Coasting to safety, NASA's plan for escape of shuttle plus pics

I know it wouldn't be feasible because of the erosion and all the permits... but it'd be cool.

Perhaps some kind of VR "coaster"? ;)

PLEASE!!!! Onlf IF they can simylate the real thing, right down to the smell of he air around you.

Coaster Junkie from NH
I drive in & out of Boston, so I ride coasters to relax!

I don't know if I'd want to simulate the smell of the fat guy next to me who doesn't believe in deoderant. ;)

It's not perfect, but it's still fun. I was on a motion-sim coaster in Ocean City, MD some years back that was supposed to be in/around the grand canyon (except there were caves and such it went through) and I remember one part where the coaster was designed to fly off the track, over the canyon, and then land perfectly on the track on the other side before diving into another cave.

I was impressed with how well it was done, actually.

And no, I do NOT count it as a credit because it's not a real coaster. :)

He air?!?!?

Oh man, I don't want to smell he air. (flashbacks to Jr. high school locker rooms and various odors...)
