Those kinds of coasters aren't uncommon. Just do a RCDB search for installations by Wisdom Rides and you'll find quite a few located at small, indoor family fun centers.

My brother and I did. Right after we saw Olympic bobsledding on TV for the first time. We tried making banked turns and all. Then we'd pour water over our handiwork so it would freeze and get more slippery.
Nothing like going over a snow ramp backwards sitting in an aluminum saucer!
We did the carboard box down a hill thing. My buddy messed his back up big time. He said it was just like sledding til he went airborne and crashed. ;)
