At 10, I was at my favorite woody and boarded the first train. The first ride seemed a little slow but it quickly warmed up and was giving great rides. Jeff, Phoenix’s maintenance person is still working the ride. I really think that he puts his heart into the ride and that he really enjoys his job.
After several laps I headed over to the Lussi bumper cars. These are by far the best bumper cars that I have ever been in. Who would expect to see grown men having sooooo much fun in bumper cars? I could not get enough of them.
I rode several of the flats including the flyers and the new Frisbee, checked out the haunted house, the mining museum, had some food, took several laps on twister, high speed thrill coaster and bounced back and forth between the bumper cars and Phoenix all day long. One time in the station, someone in the front seat returned to the station holding his camcorder and nothing was said, so I asked if picture taking was aloud on the coaster and they said it was ok so I took a few picture on both Phoenix and Twister.
It was hot again today, but the park has a lot of shade and was not too bad. I stayed until closing and had a great time. I lost count of my Phoenix laps and bumper car rides. I sure got my moneys worth and then some. If you have never visited Knoebels, you don’t know what you are missing. It is a great little park with a great woody and several fun flats where you can have fun all day and not go broke. *** Edited 6/15/2005 1:18:39 PM UTC by CP ismyhome***
