arockam2, just a small cautionary note: Jeff doesn't HAVE to e-mail you to tell you that your *decision* to flaunt the rules was a poor choice. He already DID that when he wrote up the TOS. Since you've made your position perfectly clear, I wouldn't think it unjustified at all to simply drop the *banhammer*, sans explanation OR apology....

My shirt in my photo seems to be for "Aging Bull"
It can even be as elaborate as, "Train entered block B, then entered block C, then left block C, but never left block B. Register a fault, alert the operator, and let the operator cleanly bring the trains back to the station." The system could even be made "smart" enough to recognize the difference between a detectable, correctable fault ("entered and left C without leaving B...logically B has to be clear; register fault, and allow an exception to get the ride clear.") and something truly weird ("train went from block C to block B?!"). I don't know if any ride controls have interactive fault handling ("I see a train in block B, but other sensors suggest that it isn't really there. Can I clear B and allow a train to advance from A?") but a PLC makes it possible to do that.
The real key is that PLCs can be set up to model the ride as it runs and make sure that what the ride is doing makes logical sense...and if it doesn't, shut the ride down. Relay logic has to make assumptions about what is happening.
