Coasters in the Rain!

ill usually go to Magic Mountain when it is raining, because the rides go faster, and theres no-one  in the park...That means that in the future when it rains, theres gonna be numerous re-rides on X, Deja Vu, and Goliath for me :) (in other words, off season)

My 16 year old and I got a couple of great rides in on Roar at SFA this spring in a deluge.  The first trip was in the front row which gave a whole new meaning to the term wet ride.  We were totally soaked.  Then we rode in the last row and got the best air time I've ever had on Roar.  My daughter was hollering and holding on for dear life.  A great ride.
Villian in the pouring rain got me staerted to coastering :)

Raven_Rider, I also did Screamin Eagle in the rain. It is allready painful but in the rain. OUCH! I also did The Boss in a down pour. Phew that was the greatest experience I have had in a ride.

Lemme think--

I have ridden in the front seat of Serial Thriller @ SFWoA in pouring HAIL.

I have ridden in the front seat of Double Loop @ SFWoA for a 5-ride reride cycle in an insane downpour.

I have ridden Superman @ SFWoA in the front seat in a slushy rain/snow mix.

And I have had a reride festivity day on Villain @ SFWoA in rain.

Apollos Chariot and Alpengiest in pouring rain.  Great time.  Marathoned on each of them until my face was numb! (there must have been no more then 100 people in the park, it was a ghost town!)
Ride Rolling Thunder in the rain. It is so smooth, and quiet. I did Nitro in the rain, and a raindrop hit my eye, and I thought I lost my contact, but it was fine. I also did Chiller, GASM, Batman The Ride, Medusa, Runnaway Train, and I thought GASM hurt the most. Maybe it was the angle of the drop and the speed. I know it was raining hard, and I got front row on it. I think it added to the excitement.

Nitro: The Most Explosive Coaster on the Planet explodes at Six Flags Great Adventure in 2001.

it started pouring during the second part of Raging Bull, that was definatly unique, I loved it:)

Iron Wolf: Can you stand it?

SOB, first car. We left the station sprinkling, and when we reached the crown of the coaster, the floodgates opened up and just poured. And when your going 78.3 with nothing to protect your face, it hurts. A lot of fun tho.

Steel force in the rain was cool. A tad bit painful though.

I have been on the Rebel Yell at PKD while it was raining hard, and it was also about 40 degrees too. I felt it to be miserable, cold and the rushing wind makes it worse and that cold rain//brrrrr- ouch!!!:(

TITAN FANATIC!!

Please Remember 3!!
Remember the legend 1951-2001!!

I've been on Hypersonic in the rain an boy did that launch hurt.  I also was on the steel phantom in the rain last year, as we started up the lift it was sprinkling but by the time we hit the second hill it was pouring and it felt like bb's being shot at my face.  When we got back to the station and the op's saw us soaked they closed it.
I've ridden Lochness and apollo in the rain. lochness was cool but apollo rocked it was dark and the full moon was peeking through the clouds over the silent drachenfire. so very cool.

All at once the ghosts come back reeling you in now.
BKF last week.  It started to pour right when we went over the lift hill.  Then stood in the final brake run for about 3-4 minutes in that pouring rain.  Really sucked, though.  The whole train full of riders wanted a re-ride, but we didn't get it.  Darn!:(

During my trip to Kentucky, I rode Thunder Run at SFKK in the rain...the lift hill was the only part of the ride where I could actually keep my eyes open. I rode it twice that way, maybe someday I'll ride it when I can actually see. ;)

My Fave Quotes: http://hometown.aol.com/mirage179/

I rode Raging Bull in the pouring rain, after waiting in line for about 2 hours because of lightning(Can you belive they left Giant Drop open the whole time though, it didn't make sense) anyhow when we got on it was still pouring rain and it was the most painful ride I had ever had on that ride, but was really fun.  It felt like somebody shot nails into me everywhere down the first drop. Painfull but FUN!

Don't Fight it, Ride it, RAGING BULL!
My Top 5 Coasters:
1. Raging Bull 2.Millenium Force
3. V2 (SFGAm)
4. Viper (SFGAm)
5. Cornball Express /Raptor
I have been on B:TR @ SFGAm in the pouring rain, 45 degrees. I did it 20 times in a row without getting off. I don't think I will ever forget that, after I got off, I thought I had frostbite on my whole body. The same day I went on RB 7 times in rain. The day after that I went on Shockwave in the back row. It started pouring halfway through. Pretty stupidly, I went on the front row right after that. God did it hurt! With Shockwave's headbanging and the rain flying in my face and my eyes, I felt like I had lost a big boxing match. It was funny though.
I will never forget this One Ride I received on Nemesis at Alton Towers.

OK Basiclly we start queueing up as normal, and the queue was fairly short(I think 20 mins)and at the time, the whether seemed quite nice, so I never expected it to rain(BOY WAS I WRONG) anyway, me and my friend decided to wait for the front(An extra 10-15 mins) So we are about 4 people away from our ride, when it starts to Rain, And then it decides to absolute Pour Down(I mean Really Heavy Rain)
Well, anyway we thought the Ride Ops would shut down the ride, but we were actually quite stunned(as was everyone else in the station) when they decided to keep on operating the ride(Nice one Nemesis Ops) anyway, we take our ride and see outside that the rain is still coming down quite hard, luckly though it had calmed down a little, But all that went through my mind was, I'm gonna get soaked here.
But BOY what a Ride I got, The Rain actually made the Ride 10 Times better, and the train really seemd like it was flying through the tracks, It was probably going twice as fast too, also it was alot more intense, It was throwing you about everywhere. When I got back to the station, me and my friend were quite soaked, But it sure was worth it. It was without a dought the Best Nemesis Ride I have ever receieved and ever likely to get. Will Never Forget it:)
