Coasters At IOA

My family and I are going to Universal over spring break. My dad is having mild neck problems, but says he will ride the coasters if they don't bang you around too much. Do you think he would be alright on the coasters there. I know that both Hulk and Dueling Dragons are B and M's, but I just want to make sure.

For me at least Dueling Dragons Fire had a bad head-banging spot during a transition in the Immel-helix, but otherwise is a fine ride. I can't recall Ice having any rough spots.

Hulk's first Corkscrew that dives down into the second loop also needs to be braced for, as it is quite intense and kind of throws you about.

Eh...hmmm...from what I recall neither Fire or Ice are very jerky rides. In fact from what I remember they are much smoother than some B & M inverts(batman), and even smoother than Raptor at Cedar Point. Hulk I remember to be slightly rougher, but nothing out of control by any means. I dont know really, I guess it just depends on how bad of neck pains were talking about here.

The Millenium Force ride Ops: Squishing you where it counts since 2000. Track Record: 89 coasters
Hulk can be a very rough ride. My last ride before I left florida last christmas had me smashing my head 3 times on the harness. The problem is: the guide wheels springs are shot and at some places, the train shuffles as much as a Vekoma!
I'm just saying the spots where there is a quick jerk that needs to be braced for. The rest of the rides are silky smooth.

Andrew C, while their may be some isolated head bang(ing) keep in mind these are three lovely B&Ms, so expect silky smoothness for most of the ride and have him ride towards the front and in the middle of the row to lessen any small head banging. He should really worry about Popeye more for neck discomfort(sudden collisions in the raft causing minor whiplash).

2022 Trips: WDW, Sea World San Diego & Orlando, CP, KI, BGW, Bay Beach, Canobie Lake, Universal Orlando

There is a little bang like its been said in the immelman helix of Fire Dragon. The cobra of ice is sometimes a little rough, but not anything compared to an SLC. Hulk is basically smooth except the corkscrew because it is really quick.
Even though these are Beemers, and your Dad would most likely be ok, I personally wouldn't encourage him to ride if he's having neck problems. A coaster could aggravate the condition, which is why they post signs warning people with neck, back, etc. problems not to ride. Something to consider . . .
