CoasterMania 6/6/08 - Breakers Express

For anyone interested Breakers Express is now taking reservations for Coastermania. At this time with the discount and taxes a room is almost $85 per night. The reservations people indicated that they are filling up requests for Coastermania quickly and that the room rates will rise as the hotel fills up. The discounts are for 6/5 and 6/6 only.

For anyone debating whether to stay here or the real Breakers, I just have to say staying on the resort with such a long day is really nice.

And I will say that its location is all it really has going for it.
I was not happy with my experience at Breakers Express last year though for Coastermania. I'd stay off property.

I wouldn't say that we had a bad time at Breaker's Express last June, but the room was quite cramped for four people especially once we added a roll-a-way bed into the mix.

I remember after the guy dropped off the bed (while the others where out) that I was looking around the room trying to figure out where in the heck I was supposed to set it up (it finally got set up in front of the bathroom). It's think it's quite pricey for what you're getting.

If there hadn't been four people splitting the bill, I think we would've stayed off property as the only real benefit was the early admittance for Maverick and Millennium Force and the close proximity.

Tis nice to only live 75 min around. Hoping I can do CM this year, and if I do Ill just make sure to take a midday nap at Soak City to make it through the day :).

^^West Cleveland's still tis closer!! ;)
The Best Western that is close to CP's entrance is very reasonable this year. I made reservations there a couple weeks ago for Cmania and it was $10 - $15 cheaper than BE.
We stayed at Breakers last year and it was worth every penny. Sooo nice to just walk back to our room to take a nap before evening ERT started up. :)

I'd rather be riding Roller Coasters....or baking.

I remember when I went their for my coaster trip of the year, we stayed at the Fairfield that was in between Cleveland and Sandusky and was like 10 miles from Cleveland and had a Dave and Busters for after park fun. It was a nice hour commute every morning and night.

Bolliger/Mabillard for President in '08 NOT Dinn/Summers

I cannot say that I have ever had a negative experience at Breakers Express. I prefer staying at BE over the properties that are in Sandusky. I am finding that most of the hotels are the same price as BE. Of course there are some exceptions.
