coastermania

I know it's really early, but I had a question about Coastermania that I thought you guys might be able to help me out with.

My aunt approached me about taking my cousins (12 + 14) to Cedar Point early next June for a couple days. She was thinking of going during the week to try to avoid the crowds, and I of course thought this was a good idea. I then remembered that Coastermania would probably be on one of the early weekends in June, and thought this may be a better time for us to make the trip. My aunt, however, was concerned with dealing with weekend crowds.

My question is: Is this an event that a non-enthusiast would enjoy? My aunt and cousins love the parks, but I'm worried that if the park is really busy during regular hours they may not have as much fun as going at a more "chill" time during the week.

Thanks in advance.

In the past CoasterMania has been held on the first Friday of June. This is also usually one of the prime weeks for schools making fields trips. Lines shouldn't be too terrible though. I would compare this past year's lines to that of a weekend in June. Raptor was about 30 minutes, Magnum 20 minutes, and MF a little over an hour.

The only CoasterMania I've ever attended (1997) was pretty crowded. I think a non-enthusiast could enjoy it just as much as anyone, as I took my mom, sister and cousin (none of which are enthusiasts or even close) that time and they enjoyed themselves.

Sorry this somewhat off topic but I know Coastermania is usually the first friday in June so do you think Timbersfest will be the next day?  It would be great if it was.  So does anyone know yet?

Since it was the 2nd in 2000, the 1st in 2001, I'd have to venture an educated guess that it will be on the 7th this year.
