Guess who's back? Back Again? James K's back. Tell a friend.

Its a tragedy! My work schedule won't allow me to do three of the four events I was planning on attending this year.
I'm debating if I should go, I'd love to, but it all depends if I can get any friends to tag along, most of them would whimp and wouldnt be able to handle a day like that from 4am till 1. Anyone have any good things to say about the event from the past ?, maybe to intice me more on going ?

For some reason the .pdf for Coastermania only works with newer versions of Adobe. Update your version and you should be OK.

I can't say I'm the expert. I didn't go last year but I've been there twice and another friend went a different year. Going in years where the hype is a little down aka when they haven't opened a coaster "seem" to be better years. I would say that is pretty reliable. Years when MF and TTD opened, you had pretty full queue's or at least more than you'd like for ERT for the major rides. Otherwise, I had great ERT experiences, maybe 10-15 min. for Raptor, many times walkon for Magnum but it all depends on how they pair up the rides for ERT sessions. Definitely these days if you are a big Magnum fan (like I am), major night ERT can be had because it gets ignored for the newer rides. Having just looked at the 05 schedule, it seems like the main one though for the night session, surprisingly. The diehards will probably frown at that expecting at least MF or TTD to be open. Not complaining because they are gracious enough to host us but I'm surprised no WT on the itinerary and that they bother with Disaster Transport. The night lineup is the weakest I've seen on any Coastermania schedule. Again, just an observation, I'll love my trips on Magnum!
SFDLDan, check your PMs.
Well, the first year I went, 2003, was the best of the two I have been to. Last years was ok, but it was on a Saturday in Sep(I think). I personally like the schedule. Except for the fact that MF ERT is in the morning as opposed to the night. All in all it will still be a good time.

Wow! Thats a great ERT schedule. Is it like that every year? Have to make it a Point to do it next year!!!

You won't see me coming...

hey dan, for $33.00, i would definitly be willing to go. you are a club member, right?

even better:
> "Qualifying Geauga Lake Season Passholders who do not have a Cedar Point Add-On or Cedar Point Combo Add-On Season Pass will be assessed a yet-to-be-determined surcharge."

I'll talk to you later about it, but I would def. be up for it. I dunno if my car can handle it, though :-P

heck we can even do coaster ext. at geauga lake the next day, just find somewhere to park the car and sleep, i would be more than willing :-P

where can I download a .pdf flyer for coaster EX for Geauga Lake?
Everyone, just go. CP makes it worth the trip. The event is done well enough that I take a vacation day to go and I leave at 3:30am from Metro Detroit to make the trip. CP does an awsome job and CP loves having the Coastermania guests. Also, if any of the ERT attractions are closed they will open another coaster. In 2003 they opened Power Tower when TTD went down and later that night Gemini made it for the ERT.

The food the provide for the lunch is pretty tasty and while you are at it....head to Geague Lake for Coaster EXT.

It doesn't hurt that the fellow coaster buffs are mostly pleasant people.
