CoasterMania '06

Does anyone know the date of the 2006 CoasterMania yet? The last two years they have kind of thrown the date around to september,then back to June, etc. Just wondering....

I would imagine that it will be the first Friday in June. It has always been that. The only time it was changed to September was because they had the ACE Convention there that year and did not see the point to do the events back to back.

I do wish they would push it back to September again. That was ONE amazing Coastermania! Better weather, smaller crowds.

I think its pretty cool being that early in the year, its almost like a kick off to the summer.

This past year was my first visit to Coastermania, talk about one hell of a day quite possibly it was the best trip to a park ive ever had in my life granted I've been to CP many times, that trip was mad fun. I definitly plan to come in 2006 again.

If you're local, it's not as big of a deal. Most days in May are "ERT" anyway, so aside from the social aspect, Coastermania isn't that big of a deal.

...and if you have a Season Pass, its all about the free lunch. We usually get our buttons in the morning, blow of morning "ERT", go back to work, and then hit CP for lunch. :)

^Right! Can't beat a "free" event with a season pass, plus a free lunch to boot. And if you are lucky you will win one of those awesome gift packs during one of the drawings.

I have been to 3 or 4 Coastermanias and have always had a good time. I missed this year since early June led me to New York, New Jersey, and Maryland but I will most likely attend next year.

CP has always went out of their way during the Coastermania events.

Last year's (in September) was the best one yet, but it doesn't really matter.

I'm local. For me, it's all about the free lunch and Magnum at midnight.

Mostly about Magnum at midnight. There's always a lot of energy in that station during CMania, especially toward the end of the ERT when there's only a few dozen hardcore Magnum fans left.

Then the brakes come off.

Even the pre-dawn lights out TTD ride was great. Of course it broke down right after I got my ride.

Isn't that the truth. We visited CP the day before Coaster Mania last year and it was pretty much walk-ons the entire day.
