CoasterGallery.com adds new pictures of Kennywood and Riverview Park. Galaxi, Dragon Wagon, and Phantom's Revenge are some of the newly added pictures.

The Phantom's Revenge looks better than ever thanks to these photos. You can clearly see how fast it's going at the end of the ride just by looking at the rider's faces in this photo; www.coastergallery.com/2000/KW32.html Looks like airtime territory to me.

Long live the Steel Phantom.
I hope my own pictures turn out as well. PR is truly a great coaster, and the 2nd half is very insane.

How did you do that?
PR is short but insane, it's just crazy
Just out of curiosity, I am pretty sure that Steel Phantom had a few inversions... when the coaster was transformed to Phantom's Revenge, why didn't it include any inversions? I am guessing that it is because the coaster's new track was built by Morgan Manufacturing, which is a company that I dont think makes rollercoasters with inversions... but I'm not sure... anyone know why the new coaster lost its inversions? *** This post was edited by Username on 7/14/2001. ***
What a pleasant surprise to find this posting. Thanks to Bruce for putting this CoasterGallery.com item here!

I am glad that you enjoyed the Phantom's Revenge pictures. I believe Revenge is a huge improvement over the original. It kept the best elements (that great ravine plunge and Thunderbolt proximity) and improved on them. The ride is very strong, but smooth and pleasurable. And the airtime (any seat) is amazing!

Kennywood is now "loopless" and frankly, I don't care. Inversions do not a good coaster make!

Since someone bragged about my site..... let me do some myself.... Time.com ran a photo essay this week about coasters and they mentioned CoasterGallery.com. Another nice surprise.

Finally, a little teaser: Here are the next parks CoasterGallery.com will be adding (in no particular order)

Holiday World
Big Chief Karts and Coasters
Little A-Merrick-A
Sea World of Texas
Six Flags Over Texas
Six Flags Fiesta Texas

I am working as hard as possible on these new pictures, so look for them in the next few weeks.

Phantoms Revenge does not have inversions because this is why the steel phantom lost ridership, because the loops were rough and when u put loops on a coaster you lose half the riders. Hypercoasters and loops don't mix very well this is why phantoms revenge doesn't have inversions because it would make the ride too rough. want to know more about kennywood and phantoms revenge go to www.kpunlimited.com
