CoasterCon days 1 and 2

Associated parks:
None

CoasterCon has been lots of fun so far. I doubt you want to read my entire trip report (and I don't feel like typing it up), so I will simply touch on the fun and important stuff.
Sunday
-park not crowded
-before the showing of Roller Coaster!, some of the stars and crew of Roller Coaster! was there and they were awarded plaques
-Roller Coaster! was shown in Sensurround (Ric Turner somehow found original Sensurround speakers)
-nighttime ERT on Ninja, Superman: The Escape, and Orient Express - I got 1 ride on STE and 7 rides on Ninja in about an hour, lots of fun and Ninja was running great
Monday
-morninig ERT on Riddler's Revenge, Batman: The Ride, Grinder Gearworks, ACME Atom Smasher - Riddler's Revenge opened at 8:30 due to Discovery Channel filming (they did more filming when they opened up the queue, so you might see some ACErs from CoasterCon on the next Discovery Channel coaster show), I got in 12 or so rides on RRv in the back row in that 1.5 hours of ERT, lots of fun
-the lunch was great, the food was much better than most SFMM food and free sodas and water (I drank probably 80 oz of soda and water then)
-during the lunch, we were told that SFMM is going to have a special ERT on X sometime in the future for CoasterCon attendies and then there was a fun quiz on SFMM trivia mainly
-ACErs were supposed to get VIP seating for the Batman and Robin Stunt Spectacular (or what ever it was called), however, during the first show, Batman's cape caught on fire, which caused the show to be closed for the rest of the day
-nighttime ERT on Viper and Revolution - SFMM would not open ERT until 10:30 so we had to wait, when the rides opened, SFMM ran 3 trains on Viper and 2 trains on The Revolution and by 11:15, there was no one waiting for either ride (you could even sit in the front without getting up on Viper)
So far it has been lots of fun.
other notes:
-Psyclone and Colossus were running great on Monday, however, the trains still are horrid
-the employees have seemed to be nicer than normal, especially during ERT times
-it was sooooo hot in Valencia both days
-crowds are not that bad

Well, knowing MM, they are atleast trying to get X operational, but I myself don't think that it will happen, it's already the 3rd day of CoasterCon, and from reports Xcelerator will NOT be running for ERT, it won't even open until Saturday, when alot of people will be either at Legoland, or on their ways home. Even if X does operate, it will probably be with 1 train, and end up being like 1 hour of ERT, or will have another problem with the trains, that will close the ride say after 15 minutes.

I myself am not impressed with how Con has turned out for the people attending, if X doesn't operate at all, its a waste of time in a way, yea, getting to ride a ton of new coasters, but not being able to ride 2 coasters that everyone was looking forward to.

EDIT: I am not attending Con, I am currently still in TX.

X has already been confirmed not to be open at all during CoasterCon by SFMM execs.

Xcellerator delayed?!? According to whom? This is the first place I have even seen anything that suggests Xcellerator won't open on the 20th.

I have it on pretty good authority that Xcelerator will not be opening until Saturday, June 22 at 3pm. We'll see how this all pans out with the Con...

Joe, who can't imagine going to Con and not riding both X and Xcelerator. :(

Ah, I saw that topic after I posted my response. Two days is no big tragedy, but poorly timed.
